# What makes a good recruiting Highlight Video?

* Time: 2-3 min
  * Coaches will decide to either continue watching, or stop watching, within 30 seconds (first 3-5 clips) of your video.
* Put your BEST clips first
  * Best clips in your position. If I am a Middle Blocker, the first clips should not be of me digging (even if it is a great play).
* Group ‘Like’ clips/actions together
  * Example - Attack, Attack, Attack, Block, Block, Block, Pass, Pass, Pass, Dig, Dig, Dig, Serve, Serve, Serve
  * ALWAYS put serving last!
* Include:
  * Intro slide
    * Personal info. Only things that make you look good! (jump touch, height, GPA, accolades)
  * Action “Transition” slides between action sections of your video

See the next article for Highlight Video Templates by postion!
