✨What makes a good recruiting Highlight Video?

Follow the guidelines below to create the most impactful Recruiting Highlight Video!

• Time: 2-3 min

  • Coaches will decide to either continue watching, or stop watching, within 30 seconds (first 3-5 clips) of your video.

• Put your BEST clips first

  • Best clips in your position. If I am a Middle Blocker, the first clips should not be of me digging (even if it is a great play).

• Group ‘Like’ clips/actions together

  • Example - Attack, Attack, Attack, Block, Block, Block, Pass, Pass, Pass, Dig, Dig, Dig, Serve, Serve, Serve

  • ALWAYS put serving last!

• Include:

  • Intro slide

    • Personal info. Only things that make you look good! (jump touch, height, GPA, accolades)

  • Action “Transition” slides between action sections of your video
